Item Description
Needle Felted Neckpiece
Lyn Slade is a needle felting artist and author from Bolton, MA. Using wool fiber as her medium, Lyn explores traditional and contemporary art applications as well as using needle felting to embellish fashion accessories and garments. She enjoys finding out what wool can do and how to use it as a fine art medium. Lyn is currently working on a series of art inspired by her travels in Alaska.
Item Description: I wore a similar neck piece to last year’s auction and received so many complements on it that I decided to make one and donate it to this year’s auction. It is made of 100% wool, sourced from New England mills. The neckpiece is a figure eight of colorfully needle felted roving embedded into ruffled black wool fabric. It would turn any little black dress into a statement.
