The Lexington Philharmonic announced a diverse program line-up for the 2013-2014 season. Music Director, Scott Terrell, says of his fifth season with the LexPhil, The 2013-14 season offers tremendous concert presentations that will span the breadth of the orchestral genre and bring to Lexington some of the most important and emerging artists of this generation. Terrell continues, Highlights include Composer-in-Residence Adam Schoenberg's World Premiere, and his highly acclaimed American Symphony, an evening with Charlie Chaplin's The Gold Rush, Beethoven's monumental Symphony No. 9, and Stravinsky's colorful ballet score Petrushka. Rising stars include guitarist Pablo Sainz-Villegas, violinist Caroline Goulding, and Tchaikovsky Gold Medal competition winner for cello, Narek Nakhnazaryan. The repertoire is expansive and will showcase the artistic excitement LexPhil is capable of producing.
