Mrs. Brown is an award-winning educational innovator specializing in the teaching of reading and writing to children with Down syndrome and those with unique learning styles.
Through an environment dedicated to nurturing special learners, Mrs. Brown has masterfully blended the techniques of Patricia Oelwein and her 1995 publication, Teaching Reading to Children with Down Syndrome, with years of thoughtful face-to-face interaction to create a success oriented reading and writing program that has opened doors and elevated expectations in the world of Down syndrome education.
In recognition of her successes, Mrs. Brown was named Down Syndrome Association of Orange County's Educator of the Year in 2001.

This lot includes a 90 minute consultation with Mrs. Brown that is ideal for students age 4 1/2 and up. Consultation includes a box of "So Happy To Learn" materials to enable the parent to apply and duplicate Mrs. Brown's methods in his/her home. After the consultation, there will be ample opportunity to dialogue and/or expand on anything relevant to the subjects covered during this session.
