Are you a fan of Performance Today and Performance New Mexico? Enjoy great local performances from the NMPhil in great seats!

You are bidding on two seats at the NMPhil's highest level and will watch and listen from the Orchestra Center section. 

Look at all the great music you and your guest will hear from the center section of the orchestra at Popejoy!

On January 18, 2014, guest conductor Andrew Grams leads the New Mexico Philharmonic in Stravinsky’s Concerto in Eb, “Dumbarton Oaks.” Guest artist, violinist Stefan Jackiv performs Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5 and Lutoslawski’s Partita for Violin. The orchestra closes the evening with Mozart’s Symphony No. 40.

February 22nd’s concert features New Mexico Philharmonic member, and outstanding violist, Kimberly Fredenburgh, whose solo appearance with the orchestra last season received major accolades. The evening opens with Prokofiev’s Overture on Hebrew Themes, Fredenburg follows with Walton’s Viola Concerto, and the orchestra ends the evening with Dvorak’s Symphony No. 8.

On March 8th Joshua Weilerstein conducts Ligeti’s Romanian Concerto, guest artist and internationally-renowned cellist Lynn Harrell performs Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme, followed by the New Mexico Philharmonic performing Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4, “Italian.”

The final concert in the series on April 12th features Uriel Segal conducting the orchestra in Liszt’s Mephisto Waltz No. 1 and Respighi’s Pines of Rome, with guest artist Awadagin Pratt performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5, “Emperor.”

 

As the major professional orchestra in the state, the New Mexico Philharmonic is committed to inspiring audiences of all ages and backgrounds through its artistic excellence, innovative programming, and educational and community engagement.  Along with the Classical Concert Series at Popejoy, the NMPhil also provides the following series of events throughout the year:

  • Sundays at the National Hispanic Cultural Center presenting four classical concerts this season
  • The Neighborhood Concert Series giving center stage to highly talented local talent in various locales
  • The Introduction to the Classics Series at the KiMo Theatre featuring four unique presentation/concert events
  • and the NMPhil’s Pops Series at Popejoy including five concerts.

Terms For Pickup or Delivery of Items:

  • The winner of each auction lot will receive an e-mail following the completion of the auction on November 21, 2013.
  • Winning bidders are asked to respond to this e-mail and must do so by 12 p.m. MDT, November 22, to confirm their winning bid on the item(s) in the auction lot.
  • The winners of each auction have the option of picking up their item(s) at designated pickup locations in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Details on these pickup locations will be communicated to winning bidders.
  • Winning bidders also have the option of having their item(s) shipped to them at additional cost. Gift certificates can be mailed for a flat shipping and handling fee of $5. Any other item type can be shipped to the winning bidder at actual shipping cost, including insurance, for that particular item.
