Item Description
Oil painting on canvas painted by Barry L. Zaret. An internationally renowned cardiologist and the former Chief of Cardiology at Yale University and now the Robert W. Berliner Professor of Medicine Emeritus at Yale, Dr. Zaret has been actively painting for over 20 years.
He works predominantly in oils and concentrates on landscapes. He is mostly self taught, but has been deeply influenced by personal relationships with the late New York artist and sculptor Chaim Gross and the Israeli artist Avner Moriah.
In addition to being a part of many local collections, Dr. Zaret's work is also a part of private collection in numerous locations including New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, California, England, Italy, Hong Kong and the Czech Republic.
His work has been shown at the Arts Council of Greater New Haven and the Greene Gallery in Guilford. Dr. Zaret's oils have also been featured in exhibits in association with the Annual Cello Concert at Sprague Hall at Yale University.
The painting measures 16"x20" framed. White Lily Pond is located in Otis, MA in the Berkshires.
