Item Description

Oil on linen

16" x 16"

Christina Beecher is an active member and trustee at the AAM.  Holding a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art, she exhibits at the Zullo Gallery in Medfield, The Next Door Gallery in Mansfield and The Preservation Framer in North Attleboro.  Christina teaches oils at the Hunakai School in Foxboro and privately in her studio.  She is in many collections, and has been honored with numerous awards.

Concord Twilight is painted on linen in the traditional manner of the Masters.  Characteristic of Christina’s work, the painting began as a grisaille.  Very simple in composition, the colors are then glazed to provide depth, interest and value while giving the work an inner “glow”.  The focal point is accentuated by the thicker paint near the horizon and reflected in the small water mass right below.
