Item Description

Monotype

24" x 18"

Alice Nolan Merlone holds a BS and MS from Southern CT State University and studied Printmaking at SCSU; SMFA, Boston; and the Creative Arts workshop in New Haven, CT.  She is a member of the Monotype Guild of New England, the New Haven Paint & Clay Club, and of Full Tilt Print Studio. Her works have been exhibited in juried and member exhibitions at the Attleboro Arts Museum and at other venues in CT and MA.

Over the years, my work has included images related to special places, sociopolitical issues, as well as the expressive nature of space, texture, and color.  However, what I find the most satisfying is creating images relating to the shoreline, and the life forms nearby.

I have traveled to the Outer Banks of NC for many years. The path to the beach has always held a special and endearing place in my memory.
