Philippo Franchini is a world-renowned musician and pioneer in bringing Nada Yoga to the West. He has been called "the Ram Dass of meditative music." Ram Dass made meditation popular in the 70s via his book, Be Here Now, and Philippo is bringing Nada Yoga to the West via his CD, Magic & Grace, which, you could say, is the result of "being here now" for three decades!
Philippo is one-third yogi, one-third rock star, and one-third Pied Piper; an "Innertainer" whom audiences love to follow as he creates an atmosphere of “Om Sweet Om” wherever he goes. Philippo is based in Los Angeles, California. However, you’ll have to roll up your yoga mat and put on your running shoes to keep up with his travel schedule. He is in high demand and performs regularly throughout America, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. You will find him dazzling audiences at yoga retreats, Kirtan colleges, and in traditional music venues everywhere.
Philippo has studied under Dr. John Beaulieu, Ph.D., author of Music and Sound in the Healing Arts, and also with Jonathan Goldman and Sylvia Nakkach, all noted pioneers in the sound-healing field. As a yogi himself, Philippo has combined his knowledge of Nada Yoga, the insights from his own meditations, and his extensive musicianship to create his newest CD, Magic and Grace . This beautiful musical offering is a collection of compositions written and performed by Philippo, with some other fine musical collaborators. In Magic and Grace, Philippo utilizes the art and science of tones, intervals, and tempo to quickly reduce stress, putting the listener in a state of deep relaxation within seconds. By and large an instrumental CD, Magic and Grace also features two tracks of evocative vocals by singer Donna De Lory.
