Xairu offers luxury, self-catering accommodation for six, with stunning views from every room. Soak in spectacular sunsets and vistas all the way to Cape Point from one of the many decks and balconies. The house is named for the original Khoi-San word for this region – Xairu – meaning ‘place of paradise.’

This recently completed architectural gem rests on the limestone cliffs of Walker Bay. Glass doors fronting the open-plan dining room and kitchen on the ground floor open to seamlessly extend the living space onto the wide, front deck and garden. The spacious, first floor lounge features walls of windows that frame picture perfect views of the bay and open onto the front balcony and west-facing sunset deck (a good spot for whale watching.)

Xairu sleeps 6 people in a master suite and two bedrooms, offering king, queen and full-sized beds. A crib is also available. All bedrooms have sea views and private balconies. Crisp, designer bed linens, bath towels and beach towels are provided. There are two-and-a-half bathrooms: the master suite features an extra-long bath, shower and his-and-hers sinks; the second bathroom has a shower.

The natural fynbos garden is fully enclosed and provides a safe place for children to play. Direct access to the Klipgat Hiking Trail through the garden gate puts both the tidal pool and sandy Stanford’s Cove a walk away.
