Item Description

One-hour coaching session with award-winning poet Robin Leslie Jacobson at the Marin County cafe of your choice, value $75 (food and beverages excluded). Valid for high-school and college students as well as adults, from beginners to emerging poets.

A career writer, editor, and educator, Robin Leslie Jacobson has taught creative writing through Poets & Writers, California Poets in the Schools, and Artists in the Schools; has been a guest lecturer at San Francisco Art Institute and the Headlands Institute; and has led writing classes in bookstores, cultural centers, public schools, and private homes.

Robin currently leads small writing groups, coaches writers and actors, edits poetry and prose, and is a practitioner of body-mind modalities. Sensory awareness, memories, dream work, breath work, trance states, subtle movement, and the arts have deeply influenced both her writing and her work with others. Having recently earned her certification as a clinical hypnotherapist, she is developing techniques that help students draw upon the subconscious to enrich their talent and craft.

Robin’s poems and prose have received various honors and have appeared in many journals, among them Atlanta Review, Bellevue Literary Review, Mudlark, Parabola, The Pedestal, Poetry East, Poetry Flash, Runes, and Spillway, as well as in The Place That Inhabits Us: Poems of the San Francisco Bay Watershed and other anthologies. Her award-winning chapbook Eye Drops was published in Ruah, and her chapbook A House with Plain Red Doors is forthcoming from Finishing Line Press. Her full-length book, Just Past Dream Farm Road, is forthcoming from Tebot Bach.
