Item Description
Traci Higginbotham: My love for creating art began at a very early age. I was admitted to the gifted art program in Putnam County, WV when I was in the fourth grade. Studying under another local artist Caryl Toth until I graduated from Winfield High School. With many thanks to Caryl, after high school I began working for the Art Store in South Hills and met many wonderful West Virginia artists such as June Kilgore who have helped me develop my expressionistic style of painting that I do today.
I graduated from the University of Charleston with a bachelor degree in Arts Administration and an associate degree in Interior Design. For the past 11 years I have managed the Art Emporium in downtown Charleston and continue to be immersed in art.
I have always been intrigued by patterns and color and continue to develop “my style” with each new painting. Thick paint and bold and colorful compositions.
