Item Description
This set of vintage kitchen utensils includes a meat grinder, wooden cabbage slicer, a colander and a sieve and an enameled steamer to add to your collection of history. A vintage bar of Lifebouy soap (ca. 1940s) in its original packaging completes the set.
Item Special Note
"I can remember making sausage at butchering time on our small fmaily farm in southeastern Michigan during the late 1940s. We used this meat grinder to grind up all of the various scraps of meat left after the neighbors gathered in our farmyard and rendered and cut up the pigs and calves. The grinder was attached to the big kitchen table, then the casings (intestines) were attached to the end and the individual sausages separated with a twist of casing."
