Item Description

EL TOTE is a large tote bag that will hold nearly anything. Made of a single individually-crafted Navajo-Churro wool felt piece, El Tote has a bottom of double-Cordura, handles that reach under for added strength, and a fabulous deep pocket that can hold your cell and sunglasses or a bottle of wine. Every El Tote is unique and capable and a conversation-starter. El Tote is 8" by 14" across the bottom and 12-14" tall (plus handles).

The traditional Churra were initially brought across the Atlantic by early Spanish explorers.  Sheep quickly became a major economic asset, unmatched as a mobile food, fiber and commerce source.  Their clean, lustrous wool was (and is) used for renown Navajo and Rio Grande textiles.  Easy to wash, card & spin, their wool had important qualities in a land with little water.  Navajo-Churro fleece is composed of an inner coat of fine wool fibers (providing good insulation) and a long, protective outer coat which sheds the snow and rain.  Churros naturally are born with a range of natural colors.
