 A 10 day stay for two adults (and one child), in a penthouse at the Surf Ranch resort in Nicaragua.

• 10 nights accommodation (can be used as two 5 night stays)  in a penthouse with private rooftop deck. (one child under 12, can stay for free).

• All meals included.

• Unlimited local beer for 2 at the restaurant or swim up bar.

• Unlimited Flor de Caña Rum for 2 at the restaurant or swim up bar.

• Surf board rentals and transport to town and the beaches. (Limited boards)

• Unlimited access to swimming pool, tower drop to airbag, and skatepark (climbing wall coming soon).

The trip has to be used by March 15, 2014 – there is a current reservation booked for March 3 – 14 but this can be rescheduled based on availability.

This trip is worth approximately $2500 though this is an estimate, as you cannot actually purchase a trip that includes all meals – this is a unique deal.

The surfing at Remanso beach was perfect for beginners. Everyone told us to take the shuttle to Hermosa beach, which is apparently the best in the area. You have to pay for a shuttle to this beach but apparently it's worth it.

I would definitely visit the surf ranch again. Particularly after November when their climbing wall will be up and running!"

We really had no idea what we were getting ourselves into when we bought the package, we just wanted to get out of the states for a quick vacation and explore inexpensively. What we got was a life-changing all around amazing experience!! San Juan del Sur is a quaint, beautiful location. The Surf Ranch itself has enough fun that you'd never have to leave: pool, pool bar, skate park, air pad, paintball. We did yoga in town, went surfing every single day, explored multiple beaches via dirt bikes, went ziplining, and so much more! The Surf Ranch helps you to coordinate all of your off-site activities with ease. There is also a free shuttle that takes you to and from the town square. The staff is friendly, polite, and a lot of fun. They are happy to offer advice and recommendations. The food is delicious, and with the all-inclusive package, there was plenty of beer and rum to go around! You will often see the owners mingling about, happy to help, or just to chat. We instantly made new friends with our other ranch mates staying on the property. San Juan del Sur is definitely underdeveloped by American standards, but the culture is part of what brings the experience to life! We will be back.
