Item Description

This unique marble is signed by the artist, James Alloway, of Portland, Oregon.  It is dated 2009 and numbered 767.  It is in perfect condition and includes an acrylic stand.

James Alloway is one of the top furnace marble artists in the country, consistently producing some of the most colorful and whimsical designs you'll find. He was one of the original artists to heavily include dichro in his marbles, and it has become a sparkling staple for most of his beautiful designs. As a result his marbles ALWAYS look much better in hand than the camera can ever possibly catch.

James Alloway says:

"I combine unique craftsmanship with vivid imagination. Each piece I create cannot be described purely in words, but by emotions. To see the pictures of my work is one thing, but to hold it in your hands is another. Each piece is a unique creation that has made a magical journey from a mass of molten glass to a visual treasure. The many years of perfecting my techniques has been well spent. Within the privacy of my studio, I can shed my earthly facade and hear only the silent voice of my soul. When I'm in the studio my creativity flows as does the liquid glass I work with."

This year marks 21 years of making glass.  Each item that James crafts is a unique one of a kind design.
