Item Description

Throughout four decades, Sesame Street has influenced over 80 million kids, including President Obama who called the show "at once relevant in our changing times and timeless in the values it instills in our children."  In 2009, the program was awarded with a lifetime achievement Daytime Emmy in recognition for revolutionizing children's television and educational programming.  Sesame Street has won 118 Emmys to date - the most for any television show in history.

The Sesame Street studio is closed to the general public and does not normally accommodate visitors.  However, in tribute to Lulu & Leo, Sesame Workshop has offered a rare opportunity for a group of four, 2 adults and 2 children, to pay a visit to the set.

There is no bid too high for this truly one-of-a-kind item - imagine the look on the faces of children you love when you tell them how to get to Sesame Street!

Item Special Note

LOCATION: Queens, New York City

TIME OF VISIT: Visits are scheduled to last for approximately 1 hour on weekdays only. SESAME STREET cannot guarantee that any particular character or that all Muppets or cast will be on the set the day of the visit. Please be sure that children visiting the set understand that their favorite character may not be there when they visit.

NUMBER OF VISITORS: Visiting groups are limited to two adults and two children.
AGE OF CHILDREN: The producers have requested that absolutely no children under the age of four visit the set.

ON THE SET: Please understand that you will be on the actual set of a working studio. There is no separate audience area. Therefore, we must insist that children are not permitted to roam the studio and that all visitors maintain absolute silence during the actual taping.

APPEARANCE ON THE SHOW: Visits to the studio are granted with the understanding that children visiting the set will not appear on the show. Our shows are written months in advance, and much planning has gone into the segments to be shot on any given day. Please be sure that children visiting the set understand that they will not be in the show.

CAMERAS ON THE SET: Visitors may bring still photo cameras. However, no pictures can be taken during the actual taping. There may be an opportunity for some picture taking if scheduling permits. Also, the producers have requested that visitors do not bring camcorders, as videotaping is not allowed.
