Item Description

Lapis Metropolitan Gemstone Lapis Globe on 3 Leg Brass Stand with Compass

Gemstone globe is crafted with 25 grade-"A" semiprecious stones, that are individually hand carved into the shape of countries and continents.  Gemstones are selected from countries around the world and, where possible, show the country of origin of the specific gem stone.

The oceans are made with blue lapis. The equator, international date-line, longitude (vertical lines) and latitude (horizontal) lines are shown in a fine gold thread. Globes are coated with ten coats of clear lacquer to protect and provide a unique luster and shine.

The elegant stand is offered in 24k gold plated tones.  Features a compass, and a full swing calibrated meridian, which allows for easy viewing of any part of the globe (meridian - the ring that holds the globe - swings forward and backward within the stand, the globe turns left and right within the meridian).

Diameter:        9" (22 cm)       13" (33 cm)

Height: 14.5" (37 cm)  19" (48 cm)

An authentic Stone Card containing a list of the stones and a "Certificate Of Authenticity" is enclosed with each globe
