Have you been meaning to switch to solar? Now's your chance to do so at a bargain while supporting NC Conservation Network!
This auction item is for the installation, paperwork, and additional parts of a 5kW residential solar installation. A typical residential installation is about 450 square feet of modules and includes 20 solar panels.
The installation must be done within an hour's drive of Charlotte.
Placed in a good location, this system will produce about 7,500kWh per year (about 900$ in electricity savings).
Accelerate Solars Installation duties will include:
-Installation of Racking (including flashing, l-feet, rails, ground lugs)
-Rafter Reinforcement when needed
-Bonding Panels to Racking using grounding weebs
-Module Installation
-Tie all rails to ground wire with ground lugs
-Installation of Ground Rods
-Wiring to Array
-Installation of String Inverter
-AC Disconnect
-Lifetime Generation Meter
-Wiring into Main Panel
Additional Services Provided to Include:
-County Permitting
-Fill out North Carolina Utilities Commision Paperwork (template)
-Fill out Utility Interconnection Documents

Item Special Note
Please note, the winning bidder would be required to cover the purchase price of main components for the 5kW system and Accelerate Solar would cover all balance of systems parts, wiring, labor, permiting, and interconnection applications. Customer would need to pay Accelerate Solar an additional $11,000.00 over the winning bid price to pay for the equipment: A Renesola Virtus II 250 watt modules, an SMA Sunnyboy 5000TL US inverter, mounting hardware, and data monitoring.
Any special circumstances requiring additional parts or labor will be negotiated with the winning bidder before commencing the project.
Winning bidder can opt to expand the system size for an additional cost.
Please also note that the winning bidder would be eligible for a 65% tax credit on the total amount paid for the system (30% federal tax credit and a 35% state tax credit).
