Acupuncture:

Roberto’s training has been primarily in Traditional Chinese Medicine style of acupuncture—he is also familiar with Japanese and Tan styles of acupuncture. Appointments start with an in depth interview. He will then pull from a varied number of techniques including acupuncture, moxa, cupping, and massage. At the end of the visit, if applicable, Roberto will discuss with you different options including life style changes, herbal medicine and/or dietary supplements which will help speed recovery.

Recommendations and Risks:

If possible, you should not arrive on an empty stomach. There is a slight risk or bleeding or bruising, and occasionally a temporary feeling of fatigue after the treatment.

Tui Na Massage:

This is a Chinese style of deep tissue massage which uses rocking and vibrating movements to access deeper levels. The massage causes a wave to travel down the spine which encourages all the surrounding tissue to relax and reset. This massage promotes
circulation and creates a profound relaxation. The whole body is addressed.

Recommendations and Risks:

There is a slight risk of soreness
after the massage; however, being well hydrated greatly diminishes that risk.

Zen Shiatsu:

The appointment begins with a brief interview which is followed by a traditional abdominal palpation/diagnosis. This is followed by a full body massage which is mostly "light" touch and simple stretching movements which effectively moves your body's energy along the selected acupuncture meridians.

Recommendations and Risks:

This is a very gentle treatment; there is virtually no risk of adverse effects.

No walk-ins, appointment must be made either by phone or on-line.

Gift certificate expires one year after the date of purchase.
