Item Description
In the summer of 2012 Imperial Stock Ranch’s Jeanne Carver received a call from the product development team at Ralph Lauren, an iconic American brand. Within a month, the Ralph Lauren design team visited the ranch, and by Christmas they placed an order for Imperial Yarns to be used in the sweaters for the 2014 USA Winter Olympics team to wear during the opening ceremonies.
There are 300 of these sweaters that will not be given to athletes of the winter games and they will be considered cherished collectors pieces. You have the opportunity to be the owner of one of them, a unique piece of history that is a tribute to the revived tradition of American manufacturing and Oregon agriculture. The sweater is made of 100 percent wool Imperial Yarn from the historic Imperial Stock Ranch in Wasco County.
Item Special Note
Please Note: This item will be moving on to a live auction taking place on November 22nd. If you are the winner AFTER the live auction takes place, you will be notified.
The sweater will not be made available to the winning bidder until February. Ralph Lauren is keeping the design of the sweater top secret until the completion of a massive unveiling to the world just prior to the Olympic games in Sochi, Russia.
