Item Description
Watercolor sketch of a Touareg camp, by Thomas Berger, size approximately 12" by 9", comes with brand new frame (professionally framed by Pratt Framers, Kittery).
This was painted in Niger in 1987 in the southern Tillaberi region. The scene dipicts a nomadic desert goatskin tent with a second tent where water is stored and fire pit with a mortar to pound millet. The entire household is designed to be packed up every few days to move on to new pastures.
