Item Description
Bid to win the opportunity to join Melissa Yasinow, one of the newest members of the Cleveland Heights City Council, for lunch at the Katz Club Diner.
Councilor-elect Melissa Yasinow is a Cleveland native with five generations of history in Cleveland Heights. The eldest of four children, she is a graduate of the CWRU School of Law and an attorney at Kohrman Jackson & Krantz PLL, and has lived in the Cedar/Fairmount neighborhood since 2008. When she returned home to attend CWRU, she chose to live in Cleveland Heights because of its strong local businesses, independent restaurants, vibrant arts community, and walkability. Her volunteer activities before running for City Council included the Law School Debt Task Force and 3Rs Program of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Board and Civil Rights Committee of the Anti-Defamation League, and the Cuyahoga Democratic Women's Caucus.
The Katz Club Diner occupies the historic diner cars on Lee Road in Cleveland Heights. Chef Doug Katz gained success with his Fire Food and Drink restaurant and opened his new diner to bring a unique dining experience to his home town of Cleveland Heights.
