Item Description
These days, more than ever, internships are critical for new and soon-to-be graduates.
We have three intern positions within the Conservation department: the Herbert J. Esther M. Atkinson Conservation Fellowship, the Lovejoy Conservation Fellowship, and the MaryLee Everett Conservation Fellowship. The Fellows help coordinate volunteers, conduct and enter data from botanical surveys, get involved with management projects, and many other field actions. They assist in all aspects of administering the Society's conservation programs, including conducting training programs, retrieving data from the heritage programs, obtaining landowner permission for rare plant surveys, and sending out volunteer assignments. Additionally, the Fellows assist in the planning and implementation of restoration and management activities, invasive species initiatives, and general floristic surveys at botanically interesting locations throughout the region.
