Item Description
You are bidding on a family pass for four to San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA).
The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts is a hub of creativity within the Bay Area; it is recognized globally for its dedication to artistic innovation, its imagination in the exploration of new ideas, and its sustained commitment to engaging its visitors in the contemporary art experience.
Each year over a quarter million people attend one of the hundreds of YBCA exhibitions, performances, film and video screenings, and community engagement programs. The YBCA's major accomplishments include presenting and hosting the work of more than 2,200 artists (the vast majority are Bay Area residents), and commissioning and presenting 125 world premiere exhibitions and performances. The coming 2013-14 season promises to fulfill YBCA’s vision that the vitality of life in the Bay Area depends on continued exposure to various creative perspectives, expressions, and ideas.
The center is located next to the Yerba Buena Gardens, part of a historic redevelopment in San Francisco's SoMa district. The Yerba Buena Gardens opened on October 11, 1993 and includes a Martin Luther King Jr. memorial. This moving tribute includes back-lit photos from the civil rights movement and twelve glass panels set in granite and inscribed with Dr. King's inspiring words.
