Tai Chi is an ancient exercise for promoting health and balance through exercises based on mindful awareness (rather than force and resistance). It has been recognized for thousands of years as helpful to calm the emotions, focus the mind, and strengthen the immune system. Also known for lowering blood—pressure and improving balance, in a very real sense, Tai Chi helps us to stay younger and healthier as we grow older, thus making an outstanding contribution to our overall health and well-being.
Patty de Llosa has taught Tai Chi for some 40 years after learning it from T.T. Liang, author of several books. She has also written about Taoism and Tai Chi in her first book, The Practice of Presence (Morning Light Press 2006).
