Escape for 4 Days and 3 Nights to Peru’s remote Posada Amazonas or Refugio Amazonas; both lodges are immersed in the rich ecosystem of the 80,000-acre Tambopata National Reserve, which harbors some of the wildest, least impacted habitats in the world. Take guided tours to explore lakes, clay licks, canopy towers, rainforest trails, ethnobotanical trails and working farms. You may even spot macaws, monkeys, caiman, giant river otters, capybara or peccary during your rainforest adventure!  Kayaking, mountain biking, canopy climbing, and spiritual/wellness activities are also available at either lodge.

Sustainability Initiatives: Among their many notable socially responsible and sustainable practices is their positive impact on the local community. The resort offers training, employment and economic support to establish infrastructure and conservation programs for the local Infierno community, ensuring that they share in the benefits of ecotourism.  Rainforest Expeditions’ operations add value to a tropical rainforest that has one of the highest levels of biodiversity in the world, turning it into a competitive alternative to unsustainable economic uses. Rainforest Expeditions, which owns Posada and Refugio Amazonas, is a 2012 Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Standard-Setter.

INCLUDED: All meals, accommodations, tours and services, all river transportation, and transfer from and to the Puerto Maldonado airport. Valid for two people.

NOT INCLUDED: Airfare, airport departure taxes or visa fees, excess baggage charges, aditional services in the lodge (e.g. bar, boutique or massage service), additional nights during the trip due to flight cancellations, alcoholic beverages or bottled water, snacks, insurance of any kind, laundry, phone calls or messages, reconfirmation of flights and personal items. Excludes tax and gratuity.

Reservations are subject to availability and valid only for specified dates from: January to April 2014. Based on double occupancy. Winner (s) must join other pre-scheduled trips in order to share guides and transportation. Dates are not subject to change. Day by day program must be followed. Expires 4/30/2014. Expiration dates cannot be extended.
