Item Description
This delicate Egyptian painting (13x9.5 inches) is hand painted on real papyrus. It was acquired in Cairo, Egypt in 2009. A certificate enclosed with the papyrus, rolled and stored in a protective cylinder, confirms the authenticity of the work and includes the name and address of the shop in which it was purchased. It is recommended that the papyrus be framed under glass to protect the art.
This type of Egyptian art is sold for the beauty of the piece rather than the name of the artist, many of whom lack the resources to open their own shops. Acquiring pieces from reputable galleries, which often hire artists, ensures that they are genuine, hand-painted works of art.
