Item Description
Vieuxtemps, Charleston's largest selection of china, crystal, and silver has an array of elegance, including but not limited to these handmade porcelain potted flowers crafted by Pamela Tidwell. An exquisite adaption of nature in the style of 18th century Meissen and Chinese porcelain. Each piece is sculpted entirely by hand, in hard paste porcelain and painted with richly colored glazes. Primarily working with botanicals she draws inspiration from the garden. Her fascination with nature and the garden has been a lifelong passion. She began working with porcelain clay over 20 years ago strictly as an outside interest, beginning with fruits and vegetables and eventually adding flowers. She brings her love of all things beautiful to individual fruits, vegetables, and floral compositions. Her work has been featured in Southern Accents Magazine and Veranda.com.
