Item Description
What every dog lover needs is a custom-made dog tag for their badge or luggage.
This artist will use photos provided by the winning bidder to design a baggage tag/badge holder portraying the winner's favorite pet, guide or companion animal. Favorite wild animal portraits can be done as well.
Hand tooling of leather is done by first scribing a design on wet leather with a stylus. While the leather is still damp, the design is then carved into the leather with a sharp knife. Then a series of small tools are used to punch down, lift up, and otherwise "sculpt" the design to give it a 3-D effect. Once the leather is dry, dyes are applied to bring a life-like appearance to the design. A leather varnish is then applied to protect the work.
Item Special Note
The tags can be used as either badge holders or luggage tags. The tags are equipped with both lanyard (for badge holder use) and small straps with buckles (for baggage tag use).
Tags measure 3'' wide x 5'' long x 1/4'' thick.
