Item Description
Collect a 1994 Louis Armstrong Commemorative Postal Cachet, What more can be said of Satchmo, the man who acted as the ambassador for Jazz to the world, but also New Orleans. The cachet features a color collage, purple and silver foil print and a trumpet postmark. Total production: 3500.
The U.S. Post Office issues specialized commemoratives for important cultural contributions that are uniquely American. In 1989 the Post Office issued its first Jazz Fest cachet and has issued one every year since, each one featuring a New Orleans jazz artist. The cachets are highly sought after, and the vlaue as collectable and framed piece increases every year. Cachets are preserved through a cardboard insert to keep them rigid, and a clear cover to keep out moisture.

Postal Cachet may be picked up in Culver City on Sunday, March 9 between 11:00 and 5:00. Exact location will be e-mailed to winners.
