Item Description
Steven Lelli -- the grandson of Nerio Lelli, founder of the old Lelli's Inn restaurant in downtown Detroit -- opened Steven Lelli's Inn on the Green at Copper Creek Golf Course in Farmington Hills in 2010. The owners say the menu is identical to that of the original Lelli's, which closed after a fire in 2000. The menu "even looks the same," said Mark Zarkin, Steven Lelli's business partner. Zarkin says the recipes are the ones used by Steven Lelli's grandfather at the original Woodward Ave location, from the minestrone and Bolognese sauce to the Zip steak sauce, which the Lellis claim to have invented. Steven grew up working at his grandfather, Nerio Lelli's original restaurant at the Woodward Avenue location in Detroit. Lelli is proud that he and his family have had the opportunity to serve you and your family for over 75 years. Through the years Lelli’s has always been imitated but never duplicated. Lelli's welcomes you home. Mi Casa, e la tua Casa Detroit's Original Italian Chophouse Since 1939
