About the Wine:

Zen of Zin: A bold blend of old vine Zinfandel from so great sources throughout California, expertly married by Joel Peterson to make this vibrant, fruity, in your face Zinfandel. Perfect with just about anything, hey that's the Zen part, but really good with anything fresh from the grill. Wafting aromas of violet, toffee, and nutmeg are followed by notes of blackberry jam and ripe plum, while wisps of coffee and vanilla float effortlessly through the finish.

Ravenswood Cabernet Sauvignon: Ravenswood is known for all of its exceptional varietals, from the everyday Vintners Blend, to the county-specific wines in the County Series, to the top of the line Single Vineyard Designates. The tasting notes on their Cabernet Sauvignon include cassis-like fruit mingled with an oak spiciness, and earthy complexity. It is fresh, bright and pleasing to the nose. In the mouth, it is balanced, flavorful and has a long finish that is never heavy or cloying.

Ruffino Orvieto Classico: The Orvieto Classico wine is named after one of Umbria's most beautiful cities, located on a hilltop between Florence and Rome. This city is known for its magnificent dome. The taste is lightly sweet and smooth thanks to the balance between structure, acidity and fruity notes. The aftertaste is long and fragrant, with neat hits of fresh almond due to the chalky soil of the Orvieto production area.

Mouton Cadet Sauvignon Blanc: The wine has a clean, brilliant, pale gold colour and an ample, nicely open nose, mingling peachy fresh fruit aromas with more complex notes of toasted hazelnut and touches of dried apricot. From a full, substantial attack, the body fills out on powerful but elegant ripe summer fruit flavours, together with highly aromatic traces of white blossom (jasmine, honeysuckle).

Kim Crawford: Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc: A bouquet of citrus and tropical fruits backed by characteristic herbaceous notes that Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is famous for. An exuberant wine brimming with flavours of pineapple and stonefruit with a hint of herbaceousness. The finish is fresh and zesty.

Ruffino Chianti Classico: The aromas are vibrant and inviting. The Sangiovese based wines of the Chianti Classico regions are characterized by notes of sweet violet, red berries and wild cherries with slightly spicy undertones. The finish reveals hints of aromatic herbs. Fruity and harmonious, the taste reveals velvety tannins and an elegant texture. A long and persistent aftertaste with hints of plums and violet characterizes this wine.

Ruffino Unoaked Chardonnay: Brilliant straw yellow. The bouquet is inviting with its refined notes of meadow flowers that elegantly fade into fragrant notes of ripe golden apples, citrus fruits and bananas. The finish offers an elegant touch of bread crust, typical of Chardonnay refined on the lees. The taste is fragrant with hints of golden apple, sage and figs. Ruffino Unoaked Chardonnay is harmonious with its pleasant roundness well balanced by a lively freshness. The finish is very aromatic and persistent, reminding the orange peel.
