Item Description
If the dinosaurs had known how to rub two sticks together, there might be stegosaurus tracks on the moon, and you and I would still be 5-inch long proto-possums (adelobasileus; look it up) living in the walls of some super-rich parasaurolophus who made a trillion dollars rapping about lady T-rexes and his fleet of Bentleys. Did you know there are currently 1,360 Near Earth Objects classified as potentially hazardous? 1,016 of these objects are at least 1 km in size. Do you know how to rub two sticks together? I hope so, because when 4179 Toutatis slams into the earth, ending civilization as we know it, you’re probably going to want a fire. And this is where Adventure Out steps in — they’re going to teach you how to survive. One day is all they’ll need. On your special day you’ll spend 5 hours in the wilderness with one of Adventure Out’s expert instructors. You're excited and curious but also a little nervous — what if you can't rub two sticks together? What if you're just like the dinosaurs? Here’s what Adventure Out says will happen: “You WILL build a shelter, you WILL make fire, you WILL learn about edible plants, make native-style traps, and learn several other indigenous skills.” Adventure Out did the all-caps thing, so they seem pretty confident. Also a little intense. Which is good! No point in halfway surviving the apocalypse.
