About The House of The Seven Gables:
In 1668, Captain John Turner built a house destined to impress and intrigue guests for more than three centuries. Cross the threshold to uncover the countless surprises hidden beneath its legendary gables.
Enter the world and writings of Salem native, Nathaniel Hawthorne, in the author's childhood home. His visits to the Turner-Ingersoll Mansion inspired him to write the classic novel, The House of the Seven Gables in 1851.
Explore "Kids' Cove at the Gables". Located in a 19th century Counting House, this interactive space encourages young imaginations to discover what life was like aborad ship. Take a peek through a periscope, or use a compass to navigate your way home in this newly renovated space.
