Item Special Note

My Name is Conrad. My name is Conrad and this is my story. I think that I will begin my story like all the many stories before mine began... Once upon a time not so very long ago I was born. I don't know much about when I was very little. But I lived for 3 whole months when I was a puppy in a shelter. A shelter is a safe place for dogs and cats to live while they are waiting for a home of their very own. And that is all I wanted, a home of my very own. I was very little and some of the big dogs in the shelter scared me. The humans there were very nice and gave me hugs and kisses. But I was sad. I didn¿t eat much. And I was pretty skinny. And I was too shy to play with the other dogs. Then one day, a day I was especially lonely, the humans gave me a bath and brushed my hair. I looked pretty good. I heard my name called, Conrad to the waiting area! What did that mean? What was going to happen? They took me into the waiting area. And there, sitting on the floor was a boy. He wasn't a little boy. He looked like he was about 9 years old in human years. He had the sweetest face. I couldn¿t help myself, I ran into his arms. We gave each other lots of silly kisses. The little boy's name was Max. He and his mom lived together. It was just the two of them. They loved each other very much. But they very much wanted a puppy to join their family. I thought that I was just perfect for them. I was a puppy, I loved to play and I was very cuddly. Would they think that I would be perfect for them? Max¿s mommy picked me up and held me in her arms. I felt so safe. All the humans went into an office with me. They talked and talked. It was too confusing for my puppy brain. Then Max¿s mommy gave me a kiss and put me down on the floor. Max and his mommy stood up, put on their coats and said thank you. Was I going home with them? I so, so hoped so. Then Max bent down opened up his arms and said, "Come on, Conrad, you are coming home with us!" I jumped for joy and right into his arms. We took a taxi home. I slept the whole way in Max's arms. Now I have a home and a family all my own. I have good food to eat, toys to play with and Max and his mommy to love me forever. I guess I could say that I am a very happy puppy indeed and that my story has a happy ending. The End
