The GRAMMY museum is a music lover's dream come true. This museum takes you back to your childhood, to the songs you grew up with. It doesn't matter how old you are or which decade holds your fondest memories - the 80's, the 40's, the 50's? They're all represented!
The 4th floor houses booths which highlight a specific category of music - gospel, pop, classical, folk, and more. You'll watch 5-10 minute presentations that provide meaningful, educational, and entertaining backgrounds about each genre.
There's a booth where you can listen to modern music on everything from a phonograph to vinyl to surround sound for comparison. And there are booths where you can record your own singing and rapping track, and remix it to produce your personal covers of various pop songs.
You'll see actual outfits worn by famous Grammy-Award-winning artists like Kanye West, Jennifer Lopez, and Beyonce.
The museum regularly displays special exhibits. Past exhibits include: Elvis at 21: Photographs by Alfred Wertheimer; I Am, I Said: Selections from the Neil Diamond Collection; Hip Hop: A Cultural Odyssey; Say it loud: The Genius of James Brown; and The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil.
The GRAMMY also hosts live productions in the intimate 200-seat Clive Davis Theater, featuring a full-range of performances, from emerging young artists to legends. Watching a performance in the Clive Davis Theater is like having backstage access to one of the best music venues around.
