Item Description
This delicious gnocchi with homemade bolognese sauce, made by Steve Grossmann (Charlie, 6th), is just like his Nonna used to make. The sauce is slow-simmered for 5 - 6 hours and is served under the fluffy gnocchi roll. The gnocchi is made from fresh potatoes and semolina; it is then rolled out and filled with spinach, swiss chard, ricotta, fontina and romano cheeses. The gnocchi is then rolled, wrapped, and boiled for two hours. Accompanying the meal is an arugula and tomato salad with a meyer lemon vinaigrette and some warm Tuscan bread. Your family will be so very happy to sit down to this meal, handed down through the generations.
Item Special Note
Open to the Cathedral community only please. Please give Steve two weeks' notice to prepare this special dinner.
