Digital Dragon is an amazing new experience for tech-minded kids aged 8-18. We are an open environment where students learn how to create entertainment technology. Kids will learn a new language, become a maker, dream up innovations and have fun at the same time. Digital Dragon fills a void in the enrichment landscape offering an alternative destination for after school and weekend activities, camps and special occasion events.

We live in a moment where technical skills are prized and technical entrepreneurs are like rock stars. At the same time U.S. public schools teach minimal technology and many talk about a lack of students versed in STEM or more recently STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math). While Digital Dragon is not a preparatory academy for Caltech, it is a place for exposure to the entertainment technology universe, a place where it’s possible to find out exactly what you’re interested in and take those interests as far as you’re inclined to. For example, artistic oriented kids will learn how to improve their art skills and to express those skills digitally using Adobe Photoshop. Other kids might not consider themselves artistic and may choose to express themselves by creating a game, building an app or 3D printing from the Smithsonian.

If they spend enough time with us, whether they realize it or not, they’ll become artists too, expressing themselves in narratives that make their creations compelling.

This item is for new families only.

If the winner is a member of the New Roads School community, no shipping charge will be assessed, and the winner may pick the item up at New Roads School or at the fundraising event after the auction closes and payments have been processed

For other winning bidders, a shipping charge of $5.60 will be added to the winning bid for this item.  The item will be shipped by USPS priority flat rate with tracking once the auction is closed and payment has been processed.  (If one bidder wins multiple items, we will attempt to consolidate shipping and reduce charges.  Based on size, shape and packaging of some items, this may not always be possible.
