Item Description
These two (2) vouchers for a Joshua Tree 1 Day Extravaganza are for nature lovers looking for a quick LA getaway. Enjoy fresh air, breathtaking views, and a hassle free ride on this guided tour from LA to Joshua Tree led by Southwest Adventures. They'll make sure you experience all the popular and secret sightseeing spots on your adventure.
If you want to make sure your trip will visit certain sites, it's best to Contact Southwest Adventures to verify. Check out some of the fun options below:
Mojave Desert, Joshua Tree City, and Joshua Tree National Park
You and a guest will be picked up in LA, then travel to the Mojave Desert and Joshua Tree City, where you’ll check out interesting art and oddities of the desert. You'll stop for lunch in town, then head to the national park. There are awesome bouldering/rock climbing opportunities here, a number of hikes to abandoned mining operations, and the Barker Dam hike provides a base for exploring the history of the area.
You'll explore the park into the late afternoon, then head back to Joshua Tree City for a snack at a local cafe. You may stop for a little stargazing, and then make your way back to LA, arriving around 8-9pm.
Noah Purifoy’s “Environment of Sculptures”
Noah Purifoy's art installation is made primarily from reclaimed materials. Visitors are free to explore the interior of the installation and apply their own interpretations. Visit www.NoahPurifoy.com and Noah Purifoy Bio.
The Integraton – “The fusion of art, science, and magic”
The Integratron is a parabolic dome constructed almost entirely of wood. Known as "an acoustically perfect tabernacle and energy machine in the desert", this is one of the most unique sites to see and experience in California. If it’s operating, you may have a one-hour sound bath/relaxation session, then head into the park for some hiking and exploring.
Pioneertown
Built in the 40's by Roy Rogers and other Hollywood investors, Pioneertown started out as a movie set but has taken on a life of its own. You’ll enjoy taking a glimpse back into the days of the Wild West… or just simply enjoy a beer at Pappy & Harriet's!
What To Expect:
- First Aid and CPR certified guide
- Private transport in an air-conditioned tour vehicle
- Pickup locations: Santa Monica and Union Station, Downtown LA
...Our recent trip to Joshua Tree was just amazing! Aaron, the guide, was really laid back and at the same time full of knowledge. The schedule worked perfectly too. We saw and did so much but it was never stressful... Oh, and I should mention the food, which was DELICIOUS! - Maria B.
