Chef Shuttle Farmers Market Tour & Dining Experience

Hop aboard the “Chef Shuttle” at Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa where you can experience a truly Hawaii Island foodie weekend!  Enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at farm-to-table cuisine, which features locally grown products. The farm-to-table movement was pioneered by legendary chef Alice Waters of Berkeley’s Chez Panisse in the 1970s. 

Enjoy a 4-course Chef dinner for two featuring the farmers market produce selected during your shuttle tour, including salad from fresh local ingredients, soup, entrée and dessert. Chef Jayson will present and describe the preparation process for each course.  A sample menu may offer seared ahi with roasted garlic Kamuela tomato gazpacho as the starter; followed by an heirloom tomato salad with macadamia nut basil goat cheese; an entrée of boneless kÅ«lana veal chop, pohÄA? berry jam, hÄA?mÄA?kua mushrooms and moloka ‘i sweet potatoes; and papaya crème brulee dessert.

Waikoloa Beach Marriott® Resort & Spa, Hawaii

Enjoy a 4-night weekend stay (including Friday/Saturday/Sunday) in an ocean view room including daily buffet breakfast for two, subject to availability.

Located on the Big Island of Hawaii, Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa sits on 15 oceanfront acres overlooking ‘Anaeho‘omalu Bay and is just 18 miles north of the Kona International Airport at Keahole. The resort features a 5,750 square-foot world-renowned Mandara Spa and a fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, Hawaii Calls Restaurant & Lounge with an outdoor lanai for ocean-view dining, three pools including the Infinity pool with lava pots, and sunset luaus. Nearby is the Waikoloa Golf Club with 36 holes of championship golf, as well as The Kings’ Shops and newly-opened Queens’ MarketPlace, offering shops, boutiques, and restaurants. Includes resort fee of $25 per day for self-parking, domestic calls, and in-room high-speed Internet.

NOTE: Resort stay must be scheduled with the Chef Shuttle package, available on the first and third Saturday of each month.

American Airlines

This package includes round-trip coach class service for two from any American Airlines destination in the 48 contiguous United States to Kona, Hawaii (Big Island), subject to availability. A minimum of three nights or a Saturday night stay is required. Flights may not be upgraded with miles. The following blackout dates apply:

2013:  Nov 22-27; Nov 30-Dec 2; Dec 20-23, 27-31.

2014:  Jan 1-2; Mar 8-9, 15-16, 22-23, 28-31; Jul 3-6; Nov 21-26; Nov 29-Dec 1; Dec 26-31.

Airfare will expire one year from the date of purchase. Airfare taxes and a $25 per person processing fee are the responsibility of the purchaser. We recommend booking your flight travel at least 3 months in advance.
