Item Description
An opportunity for a rising GPS junior or senior to experience six (6) days of exploring five (5) varied careers with professionals in the city of Chattanooga. From government and law enforcement, to architecture, to marketing and interior design this fortunate girl will shadow a diverse array of professionals from whom she can begin to formulate her own thoughts on a possible career choice. She will spend a day with Mayor Andy Berke and work with his staff through an entire Tuesday followed by attending a city council meeting. She will also shadow a VP of Brand Management at Chattem, with a front row seat to marketing efforts for some of Americas favorite brands. Then there are two one-day internships that will be devoted to learning more about law enforcement in Hamilton County and meeting with people in this field. She will spend a day with Ann Aiken, GPS class of 69, and learn about her career in architecture. Lastly, she will learn from one of Chattanoogas favorite retailers, Revival, and their three separates businesses the storefront Revival Home, decorating arm Revival Interiors, and The Scout Guide. GPS Summer Programs Director Kim Leffew will serve as the liaison between these Chattanooga business donors and the buyer. Help your daughter build her resume and her confidence!

Buyer must coordinate the date of visit at least 2 weeks prior and date must be mutually agreeable.
Notes: Mutually agreeable dates. Must be completed between June 1 and August 1.
