Item Description

Enjoy a bottle of Premier Cru-- Vosne Romanée Aux Brulées 2004, Mise au domaine de Meo-Camuzet.

This is a rare, hard-to-find Premier Cru wine from Meo-Camuzet, a perennial producer of highly prized Burgundies. The winemaker has a reputation for producing wines of balance and purity of fruit: delicate wines that possess the concentration and intensity to age for many years. Most of the vines for this wine are very old, planted in the 1930s. The cultivation is organic. The harvest is in small crops, picked late, and given impeccable care. The wine may be uncorked now and will age for another decade or longer.

Winehog.org rated it 91 points: “Quite impressive . . . layers of lovely pinot fruit with a very good midpalate concentration for the vintage and a long powerful mineralic finish. The oak seems quite well integrated.”

The International Wine Cellar rated it 90+ points: “Decadent . . . expressive . . . cleanly made . . . enticing aromas . . . supple and creamy . . . rich and layered . . . generous, pliant and broad wine . . . finishes with a fine dusting of tannins and a lovely lingering sweetness of fruit. A superb 2004.”

Item Special Note

The item will ship from Cambridge, Mass., at a cost of $18 to the winning bidder.
