A 4-hour recording session at Plied Sound LLC’s West Loop recording studio.

Auction winners will get the chance to record their own music and have it produced in a professional studio. No musical experience necessary! A great experience for young children and adults alike!

The composers at Plied Sound will give a short tour of the studio and will walk through the basic process of how they create and record music. Participants will then have the opportunity to create any sort of music they would like using Plied Sound’s substantial instrument and software collection. They can create music in almost any style: rock, rap, orchestral, latin jazz, kuduro, you name it, they can probably do it. Whether you come with song ideas or not, Plied Sound will help you make an amazing track. Participants will leave with a thumb-drive containing a high quality audio file of the day’s work.

This session is ideal for children and parents who are interested in how music gets made, or for musicians who have a song that they’d like to record in a professional studio. Auction winners should contact Plied Sound to schedule the session and to talk about what they are interested in creating. Multiple instruments and musicians can (and probably will) be recorded, but time and space restrictions allow for only one musician at a time (i.e. no multi-tracking).
