Teacher Adventure! with Allyson Daniels

Polymer Clay is an oven bake clay that has been around for more than 80 years. It was first used for doll house miniatures, and later used for sculptures, jewelry making and more. You may have heard of FIMO
and Sculpey, which were the first polymer clay brands to hit the market. During the 80 and 90’s, polymer clay artists worldwide discovered ways to imitate other jewelry making techniques using polymer clay.

One of the first techniques, Millefiori, which means Thousand flowers, replicates techniques from Venetian glass bead makers using polymer clay. Polymer clay can also be used to make a cane or a picture in a loaf of clay; used to imitate ivory, jade, turquoise and many other semi precious stones; used to sculpt characters and much more.

I have been working with Polymer Clay since 1990. I began teaching students Jewelry making using the media about 10 years ago.

Come join me for a chance to explore what you can do with polymer clay.
