Rube Goldberg Challenge
- Item Number
- 184
Item Description
Rube Goldberg (best know for his funny and wacky "contraption-invention" cartoons in the New Yorker) invented complicated contraptions to do simple tasks. In groups of 3-4, students will first be given a challenge like "pour water into a cup without using any electricity or human power", then taken to Ax-man Surplus to purchase all sorts of gadgets and gizmos (on us!), and finally given free reign to conceive, collaborate, create and complete an amazing contraption! Pizza and root beer floats ensure participants will be well fueled for their creative engineering!
