Choose either The Confession Musical OR Half-Stitched, The Musical

The Confession Musical

Playing June 3 through August 16, 2014.

After another successfull theater season, Carlisle Inn again is pleased to present a third run of The Confession Musical. This musical is based upon The Heritage of Lancaster County trilogy of novels written by Beverly Lewis, who USA Today hails as the ‘queen of the genre’ when it comes to Amish love stories. The storyline comes from the books, The Shunning, The Confession, and The Reckoning.

At the center is of the musical is Katie Lapp, a young Amish woman who is caught in the middle of secrets and scandal, love lost and love found, and personal heartache and healing. With the laughter that ensues when a New York actress tries to play a “Plain” woman and the emotion that is inevitable when lies are uncovered and truth is revealed, audiences will enjoy a roller coaster of highs and lows. Mix that with soaring melodies, inspiring lyrics, and glorious orchestrations and the time will fly by.

Come see what happens when the plain life, the not-so-plain life, and the down right extravagant life all meet together in the musical, The Confession.

Half-Stitched, The Musical

Playing August 22 to December 20, 2014

From bestselling novelist, Wanda Brunstetter, Half-Stitched features the story of a group of mismatched strangers attending the Amish Quilting Club...

Amish widow Emma Yoder's first quilting class brings the most unlikely people together. There's Star, a young woman yearning for stability; Pam and Stuart Johnston, a struggling couple at odds in their marriage; Paul Ramirez, a young widower hoping to find solace in finishing a quilt; Jan Sweet, a rough and tough biker doing some creative community service; and Ruby Lee Williams, a preacher's wife looking for relaxation when parish problems mount.

But as these beginning quilters learn to transform scraps of material into beauty, their fragmented lives begin to take new shape with the helping hands of each other and the healing hand of God. Join the club of unlikely quilters who show up for Amish widow Emma Yoder's quilting classes.
