Item Description
"Red Heart" Nail Art made by local artist, Heather Kelly. Show your love with this sweet Nail Art Heart. 9.5" x 7.5" Made on up-cycled wood. Comes wall ready with hanger in place.
Nail Art is designed and produced by Heather Kelly, a long time Maine resident. Using “up cycled” and repurposed wood as a canvas for art, she gets to do what she loves, spread joy and help the environment all at once. Heather creates images with nails and string. The rustic quality of old wood, contrasted by the fine white string makes for a striking result. The reflection of light off the stainless steel nails adds an extra shimmer and element of beauty to each piece. Heather enjoys the process of creating of her work. Gathering materials to make each piece takes her into nature; a beloved destination. Adventures to the dump to rescue wood from a non repurposed future, fulfills her scavenger creative soul, and help the environment on a local level.
Heather is a graduate of the Maine College of Art. Her artwork includes the ever popular “Maine Love”, and geometrical designs from interact to simplistic. The ancient Flower of Life symbol and The Golden Ratio design illustrates the interconnectedness of life and all elements. This common thread of connection is reflected in her work both literally and figuratively.
Nail Art can be found in fine stores up and down the Maine coast and beyond. She hopes you find calm, joy, and a clear environmental conscious from her work.
