Item Description

Turley Wines are among California's most impressive and iconic Zinfandels. You'll find Turley wines on the best restaurant wine lists in the country. They are full-flavored, powerful yet refined, and express the distinctive character of Zin and the classic old vineyards from which they come.

Brown Estate is a private family-owned and operated estate winery tucked into the hills east of Rutherford in the Napa Valley. They produce powerhouse and complex wines and are a true gem.

Typically, both Turley and Brown Estate wines are not sold in retail outlets, and you can only get these wines after spending years on a waiting list for membership. They are highly-rated and much sought-after and well worth the price.

Turley 2011

Duarte  Zinfandel  Contra Costa County

This wine is an homage to Joe Duarte, a prominent grape grower in Contra Costa who first introduced Turley to the incredible vineyards of the area. The wine is comprised of fruit from the Evanghelo, Mori, and Salvador vineyards, all in Contra Costa. The soil here is primarily sand, and as a result the wines have some of the softest, silkiest tannins ever seen in a Zinfandel.

Dragon Vineyard - Zinfandel Howell Mountain

Dragon Vineyard is an estate-owned and certified organic vineyard. Planted at 2400 feet at one of the highest points on Howell Mountain, the vineyard sits well above the fog line and faces east. These important features, along with the rocky, red volcanic soil, make for a very unique, full-bodied and powerful Zinfandel that ages beautifully.

Brown Estate 2011 - Chardonnay Napa Valley

Golden straw in color with a touch of wildflower honey, this wine sparkles delicately in the glass. Fittingly, it embodies all of the qualities of that very first vintage: highly-nuanced honeysuckle, pineapple, and flint, along with substantial body and lithe acidity. Tropical fruit notes dominate, mingling with effervescence Meyer lemon, lemongrass, and bergamot and leading to deeper notes of guava and subtle caramel. Time in the glass reveals an intriguing note of savory toasted Marcona almond with a dusting of lavender and fleur de sel. Silky and deep on the palate with a delicate yet lively zest that beckons another sip… and another! Drink now through 2022.
