Item Description
Celebrate with freinds and family with a two-night stay at the Seven Porches Guest House in 'historic' Waitsburg WA! The house is all yours!
Just located 25 minutes from downtown Walla Walla and its surrounding wine country, Waitsburg has a gourmet culture all its own with the popular Whoop Em Hollow Cafe, the charming Coppei Coffee Co., the eclectic jimgermanbar, the one-of-a-kind Anchor Bar, the 1950s Betty's Diner, the authentic Monarca Mexican Restaurant - not to mention the Laht Neppur micro brewery.
Waitsburg is 40 minutes from the friendly, and rarely-any-lines Ski Bluewood Resort - a mountain that has the second highest base elevation in Washington. Kayak nearby on the Snake River!
The only 4 Star Restaurant in Eastern WA - Patit Creek Restaurant is 8 miles away in Dayton.
Plenty of seasonal outdoor activities such as skiing, biking, boating, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and mountain biking abound with spring, summer and fall festivals to boot. Visit the Palouse Falls, this year named by the Governer as the official WA State Falls!
From the large regional car gathering known as All Wheels Weekend to Mule Mania in Daytonl, the events season in the Touchet River Valley has something for everyone. Add regular shindigs and wine events in Walla Walla to that and there's almost always something to do in wheat and wine country.
Seven Porches has two large upstairs suites with queen-sized beds. One has a balcony and its own access to one of the upstairs bathrooms. The upstairs also has two smaller bedrooms with double beds and a quiet seating area with a view of the Bruce Mansion. The four upstairs bedrooms share two bathrooms: one with a tile shower and one with a large soaking tub.
The two bedrooms downstairs each have queen beds as well, share a private hallway and a bathroom with shower. Linens and towels are provided.
The television room off the kitchen has an HD cable set with a comfortable leather couch. WIFI is accessible throughout the house.
The dining room table seats 12 and the kitchen is a feast for cooks who enjoy cooking meals on a six-burner Viking stove and oven.
During the spring, summer and fall, it's a joy to hang on the large porch that covers two sides of the house and watch local residents walk, drive, bike ride and sometimes horseback ride down the campus-like residential length of Main Street that's the scene of an all-American parade on the third weekend in May.
