You are bidding on two bottles of 750 ml bottles of Pinot Noir. One is Parducci 2011 Pinot Noir and the other is Frisby Cellars 2010.

About Parducci:

Under the leadership of Paul Dolan, former President of Fetzer Vineyards, Parducci are committed to socially responsible and environmentally sound agriculture and winemaking methods while working to enhance the quality, recognition and perception of Mendocino County Wines. The winery, the oldest in Mendocino, was certified as organic by CCOF in and all vineyards are either certified as or in transition to organic and biodynamic status. 150 acres practice Fish Friendly Farming whereby the use of pesticides and other controls which could be damaging to fish, are kept to an absolute minimum. Bob Swain, who has been Parducci's winemaker since 1997, continues at the winery, making the shift from conventional operations to organic farming and sustainable business practices. Says Paul Dolan "We are clear about what we want ; an environmentally and socially conscious winery making great wines from Mendocino. We want to have fun, reaching out to new audiences with each wine carrying a fresh look and message". Vintage: 2008 Grapes: 78% Pinot Noir, 8% Grenache, 7% Syrah, 3.5% Cariganane and 3.5% Souzao. Vinification: French oak and stainless steel. Alcohol: 13.5% Taste: Offers aromas of fresh spearmint, dark berries and ripe plums, with a hint of cocoa. It spicy, minty, ripe-berry flavours are full and rich on the palate, picking up a savoury chocolate tone in the finish. Serve: Enjoy this lavishly flavoured Pinot Noir with wild mushroom soup, gnocchi with mushrooms and butternut squash, grilled salmon, baked ham, roast duck, herb-marinated lamb chops, and aromatic cheeses.

Our Pinot Noir offers aromas of juicy, ripe raspberries and strawberries. Its berry flavors are full and rich on the palate, picking up a hint of cedar on the finish.

Our 2010 Pinot Noir grapes came from the prestigious Templeton Gap region of Paso Robles.  This wine presents with vibrant strawberry, ripe cherry and blackberry fruit framed by gentle spices, soft tannins and subtle oak from aging in French oak barrels for 18 months.  Our Pinot Noir is fruit forward and has elegant structure with balanced acidity providing a lingering, complex finish.

Pick up/shipping information: At auction close, item will be available for pick up in Sebastopol, CA on the designated pick up days or it can be mailed at the winning bidder’s expense.

For planning, note that the pick up days are Friday, March 28, 2014 and Saturday, March 29, 2014 in Sebastopol, California. All information and details about pick up times and location will be given in the auction closing email.

Wine is shipped via AIM Mail Center. Here are the special notes in regards to shipping wine:

1. Actual shipping charges will be charged and mailing/shipping insurance is extra. Winning bidder is responsible for all fees. Estimated shipping for a single bottle of wine is between $17-33. Alaska is $101 and Hawaii is $54.

2. All wine requires a wine shipper in addition to any shipping and/or insurance charges. The prices for the wine shipper are as follows: a 1 bottle shipper is $4.50, a 2 bottle shipper is $6.75, a 3 bottle shipper is $7.75, a 4 bottle shipper is $9.75, and a 6 bottle shipper is $10.75.

3. Wine is shipped “adult signature required” and the delivery must be signed for, it cannot be left without a signature. There is an additional $4.95 charge for this, and it cannot be waived.

4. Wine can be shipped to the following 30 states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. If a state is not listed, state law prohibits wine from being shipped there.
